The Huntington Museum of Art is the largest art museum in the region, featuring collections of handcrafted glass from the Ohio Valley, Appalachian folk art, 19th and 20th century American and European paintings and sculpture. Located in Huntington, the museum is a mile south of Ritter Park, which contains a 1,000-plant rose garden and play areas for children. The museum also contains West Virginia's only plant conservatory, highlighting subtropical plants as well as seasonal plant displays, and has a 2-1/2 mile outdoor woodland nature trail.
